Position Description: One full-time, professional faculty position to teach within the School of Family Life (SFL). Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses focused primarily, but not exclusively, on teaching advanced writing in the social sciences, and providing service on program, school, college, and university committees.

The School of Family Life (SFL), in the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences, is one of the largest and most dynamic programs of its kind in the United States. SFL offers two undergraduate majors: Family Life, with emphases in Human Development and Family Studies, and Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The school has nearly 40 full-time faculty members and more than 700 undergraduate majors. SFL also offers MS and Ph.D. degrees in Marriage, Family, and Human Development, and in Marriage and Family Therapy. There are approximately 80 students in the MS or Ph.D. programs in the School. Educational and Experience Requirements: A Ph.D. is preferred, but a Masters degree is required in family studies, human development, developmental psychology, marriage and family therapy, family and consumer sciences, or a related discipline. Experience teaching advanced writing within the social sciences is preferred. Those with established academic or professional careers are encouraged to apply, as well as outstanding new Ph.Ds or ABDs who will complete their degrees by August 2018. Ability to teach undergraduate courses is required.
