The SVP,COO will be accountable for leading the system in the development and execution of Broward Health's operational performance goals in furtherance of its Mission, Vision, goals, philosophy and values. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and integration of system-wide business development strategies, policies, programs and performance improvement initiatives that engage health system leaders in advancing quality, innovation, service and outcomes to ensure high reliability, organizational success and compliance with legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.
The SVP, COO will work collaboratively with leadership to ensure initiatives and strategies are operationalized throughout the system and results meet and improve upon the organization's performance through a disciplined inclusive process. The incumbent will have an established background and record to include visionary leadership, exemplary business development, financial management skills and strategic agility. The SVP,COO will champion and facilitate best practices throughout the organization to ensure Broward Health achieves and sustains market success as the healthcare environment evolves. The incumbent will establish and maintain credibility and trust leadership and proactively communicate and educate the organization of relevant healthcare trends, issues and strategies to facilitate system alignment and market success.
The position will report directly to Broward Health's President/CEO.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
ï· Articulate and model a management philosophy which creates an inclusive, effective, functional and accountable organization best suited to execute Broward Health's Mission, Vision, values, strategies, goals and objectives;
ï· Accountable for the development, implementation and adequate execution of regional and system wide operations consistent with Broward Health policies and objectives to include market share growth, exemplary service and clinical standards, and cost efficiencies;
ï· Evaluate long and short range operational impact and feasibility of existing and new programs/strategies and/or regulatory actions and direct the formulation of business objectives to accomplish systematic goals, fiscal and operational viability;
ï· Build and support an effective, collaborative, engaged and inclusive team with an emphasis on open, direct and productive communication to achieve organizational success;
ï· Oversee the development and administration of a comprehensive corporate planning process for administrative functions;
ï· Develop and implement new business strategies to enhance market share, reduce cost, enhance revenues and achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives;
ï· Develop and foster effective collaboration between medical centers, leadership and clinicians to ensure an integrated and effective approach to roll out and adoption of key systems and processes;
ï· Serve as primary administrative/operational point of contact for Broward Health centralized administrative operation support functions;
ï· Exhibit a strong commitment to continual learning and education to support an agile team responsive to transitioning market conditions;
ï· Direct efforts to ensure that policies and practices effectively support sound, safe, engaged patient centered care;
