The Mental Health Technician provides direct care services and management of children and adolescent patients as prescribed by the physician, therapist, and the treatment team. The MHT assures patient safety, environmental safety and manages patient behavior. The MHT also assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit. Ninety percent of time spent on the job involves direct patient care-interacting with the patient, either individually or in a group setting.
