Shodair Children's Hospital, located in beautiful Helena, MT, is looking for 3 full-time primary therapists to serve the children and adolescents of Montana. Shodair is a pediatric, psychiatric hospital that provides mental health services on an acute, residential and long-term group home basis. Come join our team!
Serves as a therapist within a multidisciplinary treatment team performing a wide variety of patient care activities. Works to facilitate individual, family, and group therapy, including identification of family functioning and patterns contributing to patient’s acute behavior. Performs psychosocial assessments, social and developmental histories, as well as treatment and discharge plans. Serves as an integral member of the treatment team with particular expertise in the area of family dynamics and other psychosocial, environmental, and cultural aspects of the patient and his/her family.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a daily schedule to ensure duties and responsibilities are accomplished as required.
Attend required meetings to include rounds, treatment team meetings, patient care meetings or other meetings as required.
Provide a range of therapeutic services to children and their families to include assessments, individual, family, group therapy.
Complete all documentation and paperwork as outlined in Shodair policies and in Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies standards of care or as assigned by the Social Services Director.
Provide case management services to coordinate care to include discharge planning.
Serves as a liaison between patients, their families, and other team members, internally and externally.
Listen and communicate effectively with children, families, community agencies, and co-workers in a professional manner and participate in problem solving conversations appropriately regarding patient care.
Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology or closely related field with two years experience in working with children who are emotionally disturbed. Evidence of training and/or experience in individual, group, and family therapy. Must possess advanced skills in oral and written communication, as well as working knowledge of various theories, their implications and human development. Licensed as an LCPC or LCSW in the State of Montana.
Additional Salary Information: Unlicensed: $48,464 to $61,796 annually
Licensed: $55,244 to $70,449 annually
Will participate in weekend and holiday rotation with additional compensation.
