The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) in the College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University, in coordination with the Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center, invites applications for a tenured position at the rank of Full Professor. The position is accompanied by an Endowed Professorship the Bennett Chair in Prevention Research. This faculty member will provide leadership in prevention science in HDFS and serve as a senior faculty in the Prevention Research Center. We are particularly interested in a faculty colleague who has broad experience in the field of prevention science and may have further background in public health, education, psychology, or a related field. A central qualification is that the candidate has substantial experience conducting intervention studies that focus on promoting wellbeing and positive outcomes and preventing disorder and negative outcomes in children during the period of birth to adolescence.
