This position provides occupational therapy services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in order to facilitate the highest level of independence and recovery from or adaptation to various deficits or disabilities through evaluation and assessment, functional activities, therapeutic exercise, procedures, education and training. This physical therapist will assist patients and families to resume or assume new life roles. This position will actively participate in departmental program development, quality improvement, educational programs, and other requirements to maintain this level.
Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Has demonstrated interest, aptitude, and skill in the areas of student mentorship, clinical education, program development, and communication.
Shows leadership potential and understanding of strategic goals of the department and the organization.
Bachelors or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy from approved program.
Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of California.
American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) membership and California Occupational Therapy Association (COTA) membership is recommended.
