The position is to commence July 1, 2019, and includes teaching undergraduate students in Family Studies and participating in curriculum development. Faculty members are expected to be active scholars, and to participate in departmental and university committees and activities. This faculty member will play a key role in the continuing development of this department.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Family Studies, Child and Adolescent Development, or a closely related area, and university-level teaching experience. Previous involvement with experiential learning is an asset, and Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) certification is ideal. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a defined research agenda and evidence of scholarly activities. The successful candidate should be able to teach a variety of courses such as: family life education, childhood and adolescence, parenting, adulthood and aging, violence, diversity, family policy, and/or introductory courses in Family Studies and intimate relationships.
