Valley Children's is seeking an experienced Neurotechnologist to join the dedicated team in the new Plaendale Specialty Center in Modesto, CA. Not only is Valley Children’s the only children’s hospital in Central California to be named a Level 3 epilepsy center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). Valley Children’s pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons practice some of the most innovative procedures in their field. Working collaboratively with other pediatric subspecialties, the center ensures high-level, compassionate and coordinated care for patients. This collaboration and family-centered care approach is key to helping families get through a difficult diagnosis. We are looking for a Neurotechnologist with a passion for pediatrics to add to our already award winning team.
Position Details and Responsibilities:
Responsible for applying advanced clinical skills in the performance of neurodiagnostic examinations including electroencephalograms (ie. routine EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, video EEGs, and ECS studies), evoked potentials (i.e. BAERs, VERs, ERGs, and SSEPs), and special procedures
Actively participate in special projects and training and education of new staff while continuing to develop his/her own skills
High School Diploma/GED required
Associate’s Degree in a related field with emphasis in the Health Sciences preferred
Minimum of one certification in the field of Electroneurodiagnostics including but not limited to Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) or Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (R. EP T.) through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) or other equivalent
BLS – Basic Life Support Certification
Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric neurodiagnostics with emphasis on premature, neonatal and pediatric recording techniques
Bilingual skills desirable
