Mental Health Tech and Security Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital is an 86 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital in Panama City, Florida which provides treatment options to children, adolescents, adults, active duty service members and their families, and Veterans. Our specialized multidisciplinary treatment services are provided by highly trained psychiatrists, therapists, addiction counselors, nurses, and activities therapists. Panama City, FL is located on the panhandle of northwest Florida on beautiful St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Emerald Coast Behavioral Health is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). The Mental Health Technician and Security functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescent through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. The Security and Mental Health Technician works under the direct supervision of a RN, LPN or Therapist. The Mental Health Technician and Security ensures the safety and security of the hospital buildings and grounds, its patients, staff and guests.
