The Senior Research Associate is responsible for departmental projects with an emphasis on research studies/client pilot programs and data management and analysis.
Specific roles and responsibilities:
Manages and analyzes data, and uses research methodology to construct pilot studies
Collects, edits, and organizes data in the appropriate manner in order to report and provide results
Prepares charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data analysis
Responds to correspondence with policy makers, researchers, and other technical and high-stakes inquirers
Collaborates with other departments to serve customer and research needs
Takes statistical and research language and writes/interprets in user-friendly language for all to review and reference
Maintains IRB protocols by completing required documents and all other aspects of the IRB and by identifying those resources internally and externally that need to be included in the process
Manages the recruitment of study participants for research studies, including arranging potential participants, screening participants, and creating and collecting initial data on the site/participants
Manages and contributes to departmental technical writing (e.g., data analysis write-ups, information for grant/application submissions, etc.)
Works with Director of Research to design studies and prepares methodologies based on the variables being tested
Analyzes data from peer reviews of new products
MS degree required (research or education focused major preferred with statistics, research methodology, SPSS coursework)
Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience in data analysis and management preferred
Minimum of 2 years of data management experience (Excel, SAS, or SPSS preferred) in a professional environment
Strong organizational and written skills
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability and willingness to travel as required
