Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Utility Attendant/Potwasher.
In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary: Responsible for the processing and coordination of patient food and nutrition orders. Assumes lead role at times incorporating elements of operational duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the diet office and patient meal services.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Maintains a professional appearance and speak in a courteous manner using good customer service skills.
Maintains a safe, clean and functional work environment.
Attends training classes and meetings as directed.
Maintains communication with the clinical dietitians regarding patients and special orders.
Answers phones in a prompt and courteous manner and records calls on the Diet Office log as necessary.
Assists supervisors in coordinating bulk supplies, special orders and tallies as directed.
Processes all Quick Tray (in-between meal) orders or special patient requests to meet response time of 30 minutes or less to ensure patient satisfaction.
Inserts new menus and pulls discharges so that new patients receive their meals in a timely manner and meals are not sent for discharged patients.
Prints and organizes patient menus for all nursing units
Maintains diet office systems including Epic/CBORD. Ensures all printers are working, and updates, corrects, and prints daily menus and diet changes for the (new title). Relays patient information from Epic to managers as requested following HIPAA/PHI guidelines.
Is responsible for posting the daily census, getting the tallies to the runners, reviewing all messages, noting sick calls and assisting supervisor in securing operational coverage as needed. Maintains diet office systems including EPIC/CBORD. Ensures all printers and fax machine are working, and updates, corrects, and prints daily menus and diet changes for the Host Associates to ensure accuracy. Relays patient information from EPIC to managers as requested following HIPAA/PHI guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties. Employs the principle of positive guest relations, maintaining a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all patients including co-workers and multi disciplinary team members.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Must be able to communicate, read, and write English well. Must be able to understand and carryout simple oral and written instruction
