Description Medical Assistant Job Summary: Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assist with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team. Department/Unit Summary: Vanderbilt Orthopedics Franklin and Spring Hill provides care for all musculoskeletal needs. We have a team of highly trained specialists to help patients build strength and stability, reduce pain and keep them moving. Our experts offer a full continuum of care, which includes but is not limited to diagnosing a patient's problem, assessing with X-ray or MRI imaging, creating a customized care plan and prescribing physical and/or occupational therapy as needed. In addition, since injuries don't always happen during business hours, Vanderbilt Orthopedic Injury Clinic is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. - no appointment necessary.
