Job Summary :

Associate Clinical Supply Specialist will dispense medical/surgical supplies and patient care equipment with regular guidance. Ensures appropriate supplies are ordered, received, and inventory levels are maintained. Transports medical supplies and equipment with occasional guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restock carts/ shelves

  • Daily inventory maintenance

  • Place orders

  • Build case carts

  • Pick supplies

  • Delivery supplies and instruments

  • Provide support for OR clinical staff by researching and tracking products needed

Department/Unit Summary:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's supply chain department is designed to enable physicians and clinicians to enhance quality outcomes and patient safety. Our team is comprised of almost 300 employees who strive to ensure efficient and successful behind-the-scenes operations for the hospital system.

Through Vanderbilt Health Supply Chain Solutions we help hospitals, practices and health systems achieve clinical integration in their supply chains to increase efficiency, reduce cost and improve accuracy of scheduling and delivery of medical supplies.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is one of the nation's leading children's hospitals. We treat and help prevent all health issues ranging from colds and broken bones to heart disease and cancer.

The world-class facilities at Children's Hospital are a testament to our community's dedication to the health of children. Constructed in 2004 and expanded in 2012, our 271-bed hospital is a child-friendly place built on the science of healing.

  • EQUIPMENT INSPECTIONS (NOVICE): - Reviews and Inspections is a systematic process of checking to see whether a piece of equipment is meeting specified requirements.
  • INVENTORY MANAGEMENT (NOVICE): - Monitors material movement into and out of stock, reconciles inventory balances, and maintains adequate inventory levels.
