As a Patient Food Services Manager, in the Food Services Department at Children’s Health, you will be primarily responsible for leading patient services staff to ensure meals are properly prepared, plated, and delivered to patients. Ensure patient/ customer and employee safety and satisfaction. Provide leadership and managerial support in the hiring, scheduling, and development of patient services staff. The ideal candidate would be a registered dietitian in order to provide nutritional guidance.
The Patient Services Manager is responsible for monitoring quality metrics and changes in practice that impact clinical, financial, or operational outcomes and develops action plans to address areas for improvement
In this role, you will be expected to:
Supervise, train, round with and manage the performance of the food service team leaders, diet office, kitchen, tray line, and patient meal delivery staff;
Oversee the patient services operations by continually monitoring operational performance (diet compliance, timely and accurate delivery of meals and snacks, accuracy of portions, quality and temperature of food, employee hospitality, etc.), through competency checks, audits, and assessments. Develop and implement actions plans when deficiencies are identified.
Demonstrate knowledge of the needs related to our population. Recognize and implement initiatives that will meet the specific needs of the patients we serve.
Manage resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and costs within budgetary guidelines.
