Summary
This Echo Tech role performs diagnostic Ultrasound and Echocardiogram examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. The Echo Tech performs Echocardiology procedures, Transesophageal Echocardiology procedures and bubble studies. The Echo Tech is responsible to take call and responsible for holiday coverage.

Education
Required: Associates degree in Ultrasound Technology

Experience
Required: 6 months in clinical setting
Preferred: 2 years

Certifications
Required: Certification from accredited program in Ultrasound Technology required. Thorough knowledge of Ultrasound in all forms of diagnostic technology, terminology, practice, procedure, physiology and human anatomy for this Echo Tech role. BLS
