We are looking for Respiratory Therapists to be part of our Community Built on Care! As a critical member of the respiratory care department, you will

• Administer and manage all ventilator care, continuous positive pressure breathing, weaning techniques, and artificial airway care and set-up changes and monitor associated equipment.

• Administer therapeutic gases (oxygen and helium/oxygen), utilizing cannulas and masks and set-up, change, and monitor associated equipment.

• Administer humidity and medications such as bronchodilators, antibiotics, utilizing cool and heated nebulization.

• Perform chest physical therapy, chest percussions and vibrations, postural drainage, incentive exercises, and ambulation exercises as indicated.

• Respond to all "Code Blue" and other emergency situations; perform and/or participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You may also assist with bedside surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.

• Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

• Maintains current licensure by the State of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.

• BLS (American Heart Association) required upon hire. Maintains ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications once obtained. New hires are required to obtain BLS prior to providing direct care to patients. Additional certifications as listed are required within 1 year of employment.

• A minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

• Previous neonatal & pediatric experience is preferred. Must be able to put into practice, Service Excellence
