BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB A Performs and oversees tests in practice laboratory as outlined by policies/procedures or protocol approved by practice physicians and ensures team is operating effectively and takes all measures for quality outcomes.A A Performs venipunctures and capillary sticks and collects specimens for laboratory procedures; Performs instrument Q.C. and preventive maintenance.A A Follows all laboratory policies and procedures related to testing, specimen collections, quality control, result verifications, reporting procedures, infection control, maintenance, lab and public safety, etc. A JOB REQUIREMENTS
MLT preferred or LPN or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with strong lab experience
Minimum Work Experience
2-3 years experience pediatric experience preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications for position
Licensed to practice by State of Tennessee if MLT or LPN. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant if MA.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Capillary stick and speciment collection experience is required.A
Experience with venipunctures preferred.

Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
