Liaison between KDHE, AdventHealth SM Infection Prevention, Employee Health, Early Learning, and Britain Development.
Tracks and enters child immunizations, communicating with parents when immunizations are not current.
Responsible for documenting illness, and monitoring trends, and reporting as needed.
Works with classrooms to ensure medical/allergy information is accurate, current and processes are being followed.
Works with the staff to support the needs of children with individualized health care plans (IHP) and assure that delegation is working safely and effectively (i.e., diabetic, seizures, allergic reactions).
Retains responsibility for overall health & safety regulations
Review incident reports, assist with critical incident reporting, advises leadership team regarding policies and procedures around incidents
Provide education and resources to team members and parents related to health, safety, and well-being of children.
Recognizes signs of child abuse and reports to the Director and Assistant Directors.
Maintains current knowledge of teaching methodology and trends in Early Childhood Education through continuing education, journals and professional association.
What You Will Need:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
· 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
Kansas Registered Nurse State License
Healthcare Provider CPR
First Aid certification
The Early Childhood Nurse is responsible for the oversight and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures for the children served by the Britain Development and Early Learning programs at the B.E. Smith Family Center
