JOB SUMMARY: Assists with efforts such as patient education, staff in-services, program development, and plan and decision to address the area concerns. Provides training and guidance to volunteer groups, students, parents, and members of the health care team. Provides comprehensive Child Life interventions to hospitalized children and families so as to facilitate normal growth and development and emotional adjustment to the health care setting. Demonstrates competence to adapt work and customer service assistance methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and other developmental needs of patients served by the department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: BA/BS in Child Life/Child/Family
