BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To provide continuous observation of physiologic monitoring patients, equipment and systems in select units or locations and escalation of concerns to the appropriate end user for resolution. Assists with call management and coordination of services within the Transfer Center.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
  - High school diploma preferred or Associates or Bachelors nursing degree
- Minimum Work Experience
  - 2 years of previous work experience as a Paramedic with an ALS Service or RN ExperienceA
- Required Licenses/Certifications for position
  - Licensed EMT-Paramedic in State of Tennessee orA
  - RN LicenseA
  - American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
  - American Heart Association PALS certification within 90 days of hire
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  - Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and medical terminology.
  - Knowledge of computers, telephone system, fax, copier, scanner; demonstrates time management skills, demonstrates good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
