Nemours Estate is a 225-acre public garden and historic home dating back to 1910. Its benefactor, Alfred I. duPont, also established the Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, which shares our campus and legacy. As a historic property and public garden, Nemours Estate is perhaps the only such location worldwide situated beside a pediatric hospital. As such an institution, we are uniquely placed to explore the intersections of health, wellbeing, arts, history, and horticulture. In addition to providing a first-class experience for guests in our historic spaces, formal gardens, and natural areas, Nemours Estate engages with the hospital on a variety of projects.
