This position is responsible for: Facilitating the adjustment of the patient and family to illness and to help the family and the individual function optimally. The social worker will provide psychotherapy and psychosocial support for children with a broad array of diagnoses, including but not limited to adjustment to medical illness, ADHD, depression, anxiety and autism spectrum disorders. Services are provided to assist the family in the best utilization of the health care system and link them with the variety of services necessary to meet their individual needs.
