Overview

St. Luke's Children's is HIRING - Feeding Therapists (OT or SLP) - to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team at our NEW clinic in Meridian, Idaho!

As the region's leader in pediatric care and home to Idaho's only Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Health System is committed to providing access to only the highest quality healthcare to our patients. We are expanding that access for pediatric patients and families in need of outpatient therapy by opening a NEW pediatric therapy clinic, anticipated to open April 2023.

St. Luke's Children's Rehab 5th Avenue clinic will provide pediatric rehabilitation services will include general pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, augmentative and assistive communication services, and feeding therapy. Unique among our other children's rehab clinics, this clinic's focus will be to pediatric patients who struggle with neuromuscular difficulties and feeding difficulties. Patient demographics will include treating patients 0-18 years old with a variety of developmental and neurological diagnosis'. We also help serve those individuals 18+ who are in need of our skilled care due to functional abilities not a good match for traditional adult therapies.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive evaluation including, but not limited to, collecting subjective and objective data, analysis of data, and creation of treatment plan.
• Administers interventions consistent with treatment plan based on evidence based best practice, provider protocol and governing standards.
• Follows policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
• Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity and/or clinical priorities.
• Maintain professional relationships and convey relevant information to other members of the healthcare team within facility and any applicable referral agencies.
• Maintain patient confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential.
• Independently manages the care of patients with conditions common to the unit/area of assignment. Exercises initiative and independent judgment. Manages caseload and maintains productivity standards for unit consistently.
• Serve as clinical mentor, as appropriate.
• Direct the work of aides and assistants, as appropriate.
• Identifies opportunities for program improvement and seeks appropriate guidance for implementing change.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• License: Valid license to practice occupational or speech therapy in Idaho.
• Certifications: Current CPR certification.
