General Summary

Under the direction of the Director and Manager of Radiology Services, the Supervisor will manage the daily work flow, assigning staff as appropriate to facilitate the smooth operation of the Radiology Department. The Supervisor performs administrative duties of supervision within the department, and is responsible for directing daily departmental activities, technical staff, and ancillary personnel. Will work as a Radiographic Technologist to complete the daily work schedule, in order to maintain our goal of providingquality patient care and service. The employee will demonstrate a professional approach in their work, with emphasis on patient careand in their technical abilities to complete requested exams promptly, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the needto promote and use proper radiation safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers. Patientsserved include infant through adult-geriatric.

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the Director and Manager of Radiology Services. No direct supervision; requires a complete "self starter"; Initiatesdaily schedule and directs staff to ensure completion of work; determines policies and methods necessary to obtain desired results;Provides supervision of technical and ancillary personnel assigned to designated shift. Functions under the direction of the MedicalDirector of the Radiology Department.
