Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The Radiology Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a full-service, diagnostic center dedicated to delivering the highest quality imaging services to our patients and their physicians. We provide competent, courteous and compassionate clinical services, and respond to requests for services from patients and referring physicians promptly. Same-day-service and delivering quick results to physicians are hallmarks of our services. Missouri Baptist Medical Center provides a full-service Computed Tomography (CT) department offering all types of CT exams, including highly specialized CT Angiography that examines blood vessels in the body.

Role Purpose
Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a MRI, CT, Interventional Radiology, or Mammography Department.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Monitors and organizes department resources to maximize productivity and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Serves as liaison between staff and physicians.
Evaluates the care and testing delivered and intervenes appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Ensures department?s readiness/preparedness for all regulatory body inspections or certifications (i.e., TJC, State, ACR, ICCS, etc.)
Ensures appropriate staffing levels are achieved and has the ability/licensure to step into staff Advanced Technologist role, as needed.
