SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing leadership in establishing standards of practice for nutritional care and serving as a consultant to clinical dietitians, physicians and other health professionals, providing direct patient care and being responsible for needs assessment, program development and evaluation, in-service education, medical staff education and nutrition research.
Full-time position for an acute care pediatric dietitian in our Children?s Hospital, especially pediatric oncology. Duties include assessment of nutritional status, working with medical staff, nurses, parents, and patient on optimizing food intake, assessing patients for tube feeding and parenteral nutrition as needed. Also opportunities to interact with and educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Master's degree required unless exempted by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or certification.
Three (3) years of experience in the dietetics field required (or seven (7) if no Master's degree).
