 The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Pediatric Cardiology Physician at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank as Director of the Heart Failure/Transplant program. 
 As the largest pediatric cardiology practice in Minnesota, our Heart Center utilizes a comprehensive team of CV intensivists, care coordinators, cardiologists, and surgeons&#8212;all within a true children&#8217;s hospital setting, on a leading academic campus. This means children get dedicated attention from cardiovascular providers, all within in a child-friendly environment to help ease their pain and fears. 
 About the Appointment:  
 
 The Department / Division is seeking an individual with a strong interest Pediatric Heart Failure, Pediatric Heart Transplant and mechanical devices. 
 Participate in pre- and post-transplant cardiac evaluation and treatment of cardiomyopathies and heart failure of different etiologies. 
 This position will include clinical duties working in/at University of Minnesota Masonic Children&#8217;s Hospital. 
 Depending on expertise and interest, the position may also participate inpatient and outpatient service. 
 Additional responsibilities will include: participation in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, clinical practice through UMPhysicians, and participation in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession. 
 The successful candidate will participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities either as a collaborator or independent researcher, and participate in faculty development activities tailored to the candidate&#39;s career interests and goals.

 About the Division 
 There is a long history of Pediatric Heart Transplant at the University of Minnesota.&#xa0; The program has grown exponentially in the last years. As a result of the growth in the program, we are in the process of recruiting a second experienced  congenital/transplant  cardiovascular surgeon.&#xa0; 
 Qualifications: 
 
 Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training programs, including additional expertise in heart failure and transplant. 
 Board certified in Pediatrics. Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology 
 Must have demonstrated involvement in clinical or basic science research through publications anticipated or published in peer-reviewed journals 
 Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure 
 Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota 
 Meet threshold  criteria/qualifications  for Credentialing and Privileges 
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
 Exceptional team player skills and priority of patient service

 The clinical program at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children&#8217;s Hospital (UMMCH) is a free-standing hospital recognized as the second largest unrelated donor transplant program in the country, and one of the largest umbilical cord blood transplant centers worldwide.&#xa0; The program performs and average of 85 transplants annually in addition to gene therapy and CAR-T cell therapy trials. The pediatric program works closely with the adult program and combined we have over 50 open clinical trials. UMMCH offers state-of-the-art facilities with access to more than 50 subspecialties and convenient family-centered services.&#xa0; The division supports a 3-year ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow transplantation and a 1-year post-fellowship program in Blood and Marrow Transplantation.&#xa0; The Division&#8217;s scientific laboratories focus on transplantation immunology, cellular therapies, immunotherapies, gene therapies, and innovative therapies for rare metabolic and inherited diseases.

Clinical staff report to the Manager of Clinical Services for the pediatric and adolescent units, who works closely with the programs Medical Director and Staff Council in promoting patient centered care that is effective and efficient.        Responsibilities/Job Description        Clinical Treatment Coordinator (CTC) will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm for a total of 80 hours a week, with the possiblity of weekends and holidays as needed. CTC will partner with the physician and interdisciplinary team to navigate the patient/family through stabilization and work toward ongoing care through therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on group therapy. Responsibilities/Job Description        An Outpatient Clinic Therapist is co-located in one of 40 Primary Care Clinics and works collaboratively with the medical team within a large academic healthcare system. Clinic Psychotherapists employ evidence-based practices to manage the behavioral health needs of the clinic population. As a specialty mental health provider, our clinic psychotherapists are uniquely suited to support the primary care team and patients through co-located service and a shared electronic health record. We develop innovative care models to support a broad patient population with complex co-morbid medical/behavioral health conditions. We comply with Managed Care requirements for treatment authorizations. Therapists conduct diagnostic assessments, develop individualized treatment plans and provide individual, couples, family and group therapy for all ages.The position is a split between 80% telehealth delivery and 20% in-person care.
