As a Radiographer you are responsible for the attainment and development of pediatric x-ray films as well as providing quality pediatric patient care on shift to include triaging and assists in procedures. Additionally, this position requires intimate knowledge within the lab. Our Rad Tech&#39;s must maintain requirements for moderate complex lab.     Ensures cleanliness of office and clinical environment.   Creates a welcoming environment and acts as a patient advocate.   Observes, assesses, triages, and takes action on all patients according to protocol.   Provides quality patient care:    Obtains vital signs and lab specimens.   Administers medications per P&#38;P.   Performs and/or assists with procedures per P&#38;P.   Gives aftercare instruction.   Discharges/transfers patients.     Documents all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record, logs and requisitions.   Executes physician orders.   Performs, develops, and delivers x-ray films according to protocol.   Maintains x-ray equipment in clean and proper condition.   Coordinates x-ray films to be viewed by a radiologist or to be released for follow-up care.   Transports x-ray or labs as necessary.   Performs lab controls and patient samples on lab equipment according to protocol.   Responsible for operation and care of all other radiology and patient care equipment as needed.   Knowledge of the Digitizing room procedures.     Job Requirements     Associate&#39;s Degree required. Completion of an approved Radiology Program required.    Minimum of one (1) year pediatric hospital, outpatient or urgent care radiology experience required.   Certified Radiologic Technologist license in Florida required.   ARRT Required.   American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.   New graduates must obtain Florida Radiologic Tech License and ARRT within 90 days of hire.   Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required.   Will be working between 3 urgent care locations within 30-minute radius. Facilities operate 10am-8pm.    This is a causal role. Looking for a minimum of 20 hours worked per month plus one major and one minor holiday per year.    Weekend Shift differential is 20%.</description>

Our 130-bed pediatric hospital also features the area&#39;s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. The Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist will perform interventional radiology procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed independent practitioner. The IR Technologist is responsible for patient care and for operation and maintenance of all IR related equipment. The IR technologist reports to the Radiology Manager and the physician leader of the IR section. The IR technologist must be ARRT registered. The IR technologist is responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assurance and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours.      Responsible for AIDET interactions and provides accurate preparation instructions to patient/family with the ability to answer pertinent procedural questions.   Knowledge of IR imaging protocols, universal protocols, sterile field requirements, radiation safety techniques and a working knowledge of all IR equipment and equipment maintenance requirements.   Performing venipuncture as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.   Starting and maintaining intravenous access as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.   Ability to access a port as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.   Identifying, preparing and/or administering medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.   Performing cardiovascular interventional procedures as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.   Performing noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner. Responsible for patient safety and reporting unsafe practices and/or incidents that occur in the Medical Imaging Department and the IR suite.   Responsible for proper identification of all images in the PACS and accurate documentation in the electronic patient record.   Provides accurate room preparation and instructions to patient / family according to the procedure and physically prepares patient for examination which includes explaining the imaging procedure and answers pertinent procedural questions.
