FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College’s School of Education seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in developmental or educational psychology, with an early childhood focus, effective Fall 2026. Duties associated with this position include: 1) engaging in research, scholarly writing and grant work; 2) teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in our Teacher Education and Educational Psychology programs; 3) serving on program, department, school, college, and university committees, where appropriate; and 4) advising students.
QUALIFICATIONS
All candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in developmental or educational psychology, or a closely related field. The candidate must be able to instruct graduate-level courses in teacher education and educational psychology, including courses in quantitative research methods, assessment, and/or applied statistics. The candidate should also have a strong research agenda that relates to important questions in education about cognition, motivation, assessment, or human development. In addition, since we are a public urban institution, we seek candidates who have demonstrated commitment to work in multicultural and urban settings.

Compensation for this position falls within the following salary range:
Assistant Professor: The salary range is $57,252 - $109,025.
